We have already talked a lot about purchasing cashmere before, today we will go into detail and explain how to choose the thickness and color of cashmere sweaters.
Thickness of cashmere:
When it comes to thickness, we need to talk about the fine and coarse spinning of cashmere. Fine spun cashmere feels more delicate and has better skin friendliness, but of course, its relative price is also high. A seemingly inconspicuous thin cashmere sweater can cost several hundred yuan as a base.
In terms of style, fine spun cashmere is more suitable than coarse spun for making close fitting vests, bottoms, or spring/summer styles. So, the so-called 'thickness' alone cannot determine the price of cashmere.
Most of the products sold in general shopping malls are mainly coarse textiles. As both are coarse spun fabrics, if the style is the same, the weight of double stranded cashmere or triple stranded cashmere is higher than that of single stranded cashmere, so the price of cashmere is naturally higher.
And multiple strands can weave more patterns, so it is also more suitable for wearing alone, while single strands are generally more common in basic styles.
When buying a cashmere sweater, try to buy cashmere weighing over 300g to keep warm. Although some cashmere is very cheap, you only realize that it is too thin and transparent when you get started.
Although the warmth retention of single strand cashmere is not as good as that of multi strand cashmere, it can basically withstand cold winters above 0 degrees Celsius when paired with down jackets in the south, while double strand cashmere can completely withstand the winter in most areas.
If it is customized, single and double strands are more recommended. If it is three strands or more, it will be a bit thick and the wearing rate will be relatively low, making it more suitable for making outerwear.
